I have been very busy these last few weeks with back to back events, but I am back with the next week or so off! The baby shower brunch that I put together took place on Saturday and turned out adorable! The mother-to-be loves elephants so I took that into consideration while planning this event. It turned out so cute and all the little details worked so well together! Take a look at the pics...you can find the invite that I sent out for this event here.
Diaper Cake
Mocktail Mimosa's and Hibiscus drinks made with Squirt soda (to go along with the theme), Orange Juice, & Cranberry Juice.

The Create-A-Crepe bar where guests could add ingredients, in a crepe, to make either a breakfast, lunch, or dessert crepe.
The Cake
I titled the various sauces for the crepes "Squirtables" to carry out the theme of the shower.

Sunny-side up Oreo Pops that are in the above picture, tied with yellow curling ribbon.

Onesie & bib decorating station
Finished Onesies & bibs. The guests did such a great job!

Floral centerpiece that I made
Advice cards for the guests to fill out, along with an envelope for guests to print their address on for the mother-to-be to mail their thank you cards! I love the paperclips and the elephant pens toppers I put together!
But my favorite of all would have to be the guest favors! Such cute little elephant cupcake toppers! Adorable!
Overall it was a fabulous shower. And the mother-to-be loved every minute of it! Can't wait to meet this little bundle of joy!

This is darling! I have a question - how did the guests decorate the onsies? Are they iron-ons? I'm planning a baby shower for a dear friend and we're going to do crafts rather than games. This would be perfect!
ReplyDeleteYes, there were iron-on's available, fabric pens, and I also bought stencils and fabric paint so the guests could decide how they wanted to decorate them. :)
ReplyDeleteHow did you use the fabric paint? Did it make the onsies get stiff from the paint? I am doing something like this for my friends shower next weekend and was scared the paint would be stiff and crunchy on the fabric.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you buy (or how did you make) the super cute elephant cup cake toppers?
ReplyDeleteWhere did you purchase the iron-ons and stencils for the onesie decorating? Thanks!!
ReplyDeleteI bought them at my local craft store. Most craft stores have a dedicated isle just for fabric paint, stencils, and iron-on's. I bought most of my supplies at Michael's.
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find the elephant paperclips? Those are to die for!
ReplyDeleteI ordered them on Amazon!
ReplyDeleteOh no! I can't find them. They must not be on there anymore! Y.Y
ReplyDeleteOh no! Here is another link for some elephant paper clips. They are not the exact same ones I used but they would work! :) Hope it helps!

Hi Ashley,
ReplyDeleteI just found your blog through 'Catch My Party' and I love this post! Your baby shower turned out gorgeous!! The crepes are a fantastic idea, and all of the details are great. Would you mind sharing how you made the elephant pens?? I'm doing an elephant baby shower for my DIL next month and would love to make some!
btw.....it looks like you live in Sandy - I live in Layton! ;)
Another question -- did you purchase your cake through a local bakery?? Or is it just a little something you whipped up yourself?!!
ReplyDeleteHi Ashley!
ReplyDeleteAwesome stuff! I am throwing an Elephant themed shower for my sister-in-law in Novemeber and have been trying to find a stamp such as the one you used with the silverware wraps or the cupcake gift tags...have not had luck. Can you please share where you found them?
Thank you!
Courteney
Hi champton16,
ReplyDeleteI actually didn't use a stamp. I had the tags and napkin wraps made by some amazing etsy sellers. :)
Sorry I couldn't be more help!
