Light up the Night

I love this simple and creative idea to use on your jack-o-lanterns this year. And there's still time to get this project done in time for Halloween! Why not use pumpkins to illuminate your house number?! So easy and adorable! Just download some numeric pumpkin stencils (you can find some here) and then carve into as many pumpkins as needed to add a little glow to your address! Remember, whatever your plans may be this Halloween, to have a safe and fun holiday! And check back on the blog Monday to see all of the little details and pictures from my Comic Book Superhero and Super Villain party this year! Happy Halloween!

Up, Up and Away!

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to fly down to Toronto, Ontario, Canada to throw a baby shower for my cousin. (Yes, that is where I am originally from!) She is having a baby boy (little James!) and I jumped at the chance to put something together for her. My aunt and I decided on a little travel/airplane theme. It turned out SO cute! We went with a red, white, and blue color palette and had planes everywhere!

For the invites, I chose custom airplane tickets from Lillebarntoo, with matching map envelopes that were ordered from Picklehead. All of the map envelopes are different because they are made from real maps! They were so awesome!

When guests first walked in they were greeted by a sign welcoming them onto Meyer Airlines (the mom's last name) flight 112410
(the baby's due date).

After guests checked in, they were asked to leave some advice for the mom-to-be.

The advice board filling up with "clouds".
The little airplanes and advice clouds were created by the wonderful, and my favorite,Chickabug. (She seriously is a genius, don't take my word for it...check her out for yourself!)

Little letters to decorate the baby's room...and don't forget the daddy diaper kit, which I purchased from Diaper Delites.

Little airplane and cloud garland was strung throughout the space. And hung up high too!

I even hung little clouds and planes from the balloons!

For an in-flight snack, guests noshed on what else.....peanuts!
The little bag labels were purchased from Cio Prints.

Guests decorated onsies, while chatting with other passengers during their flight.

For our drinking passengers, we offered both beer and wine selections.....

And for the mom-to-be and other passengers we also offered Jet Fuel (aka Raspberry Lemonade).

The in flight meal consisted of a croissant sandwich, chips, a pickle, and a custom Meyer Airlines cookie!

All food and drink labels were also created by Chickabug!

After the meal, guests were reminded to pick up their "luggage", bright blue cupcakes!
(Airplane cupcake toppers from Simple Sensations.)

If you can't tell by now, I love diaper cakes for baby showers, so of course I had to style one that fit in with this theme!

When the flight ended, each passenger was given a thank you parcel.

Each parcel contained an airplane shaped luggage tag and either a blue or red airplane chocolate lollipop.

(Favors tags made by Chickabug)

Overall, the shower was so fun to plan and put together. This flight was a total success! No turbulence and smooth sailing ahead!

Giddy Up!

I recently got to help out with a friend's baby shower that was thrown by a few of her close friends and family. It was a little cowboy/country theme and I got to take care of a few little details. You might have already seen the invitation that I mailed out to guests here, but I also got to do a few other little things....

The Favors:

Cute little jam jars with three different flavors: Strawberry, Blueberry, and Apple Butter. Yummy! I purchased the jam from Purely Preserves and decorated them myself.

I also ordered these adorable little cutlery packets from Miss Pickles Press. I just couldn't resist them! They were too darn cute!

And I also made a little diaper cake for the mommy to-be too. It was a fun shower to help out with and fun to put these little pieces together for a friend! :)

Patron, by the slice

Last weekend I had the opportunity to surprise a friend with a great birthday present made by my fabulous cake decorating friend, Michelle. (She's my little secret weapon!) Jason, is obsessed with Patron so I figured why not give him the next best thing to a Patron bottle, which is much to expected,.... a Patron Bottle Cake! It turned out perfect! Michelle even painted the label by hand! You are awesome girl! And so was the cake! It was even a tequila flavored sponge cake, made with Patron! Yum! If you need a cake made in Salt Lake City, let me know, Michelle is amazing!

Pretty Pumpkins

Phew! I am back after two long weeks of party preparations. My husband and I's annual Halloween party was on Saturday and we had both been so busy trying to get everything done in time. I swear there is not enough time in the day to get everything done that I need to! Anyway, I am back to blogging and have some really fun pictures of the Halloween party, as well as some of the other events that I designed, within the last few weeks, to share with you! But until I can go through all of the photo's and get them uploaded, I figured for today's post, that I would share this adorable mini pumpkin wreath that I saw! So cute just as it is, or super easy to make a little spookier by adding black spider and other creepy crawlers! Find the directions over at ZedoMax.

Yee-Haw!

I wanted to share a cute invitation that I got to put together for a close friend's baby shower that took place on Saturday. I helped out with a few fun details for the day. Obviously from the invite you can tell that it was a Cowboy themed shower. It was very cute. I'll show you a few more little things that I helped out with later this week! I am also going to be posting some pics from the baby shower I did in Canada last weekend, later this week as well. Enjoy your Monday!
