A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to fly down to Toronto, Ontario, Canada to throw a baby shower for my cousin. (Yes, that is where I am originally from!) She is having a baby boy (little James!) and I jumped at the chance to put something together for her. My aunt and I decided on a little travel/airplane theme. It turned out SO cute! We went with a red, white, and blue color palette and had planes everywhere!

For the invites, I chose custom airplane tickets from
Lillebarntoo, with matching map envelopes that were ordered from
Picklehead. All of the map envelopes are different because they are made from real maps! They were so awesome!

When guests first walked in they were greeted by a sign welcoming them onto Meyer Airlines (the mom's last name) flight 112410
(the baby's due date).

After guests checked in, they were asked to leave some advice for the mom-to-be.

The advice board filling up with "clouds".
The little airplanes and advice clouds were created by the wonderful, and my favorite,
Chickabug. (She seriously is a genius, don't take my word for it...check her out for yourself!)

Little letters to decorate the baby's room...and don't forget the daddy diaper kit, which I purchased from
Diaper Delites.

Little airplane and cloud garland was strung throughout the space. And hung up high too!

I even hung little clouds and planes from the balloons!

For an in-flight snack, guests noshed on what else.....peanuts!
The little bag labels were purchased from
Cio Prints.

Guests decorated onsies, while chatting with other passengers during their flight.

For our drinking passengers, we offered both beer and wine selections.....

And for the mom-to-be and other passengers we also offered Jet Fuel (aka Raspberry Lemonade).

The in flight meal consisted of a croissant sandwich, chips, a pickle, and a custom Meyer Airlines cookie!
All food and drink labels were also created by
Chickabug!

After the meal, guests were reminded to pick up their "luggage", bright blue cupcakes!
(Airplane cupcake toppers from
Simple Sensations.)

If you can't tell by now, I love diaper cakes for baby showers, so of course I had to style one that fit in with this theme!

When the flight ended, each passenger was given a thank you parcel.

Each parcel contained an airplane shaped luggage tag and either a blue or red airplane chocolate lollipop.

Chickabug)
Overall, the shower was so fun to plan and put together. This flight was a total success! No turbulence and smooth sailing ahead!
