I have had a few questions from readers about the products that I have guests use to decorate onsies at baby showers, so I decided to post some simple tips today. I actually provide the guests with a few different options, like fabric markers, fabric paint, stencils, iron-on appliques, and rubber stamps. All of these items are available at your local craft store. I like giving the guests options and letting them be creative. The paint that I use is specifically made for fabric. It does not leave the fabric stiff or rough at all. (Make sure that you wash all of the onsies prior to the event, and do not use fabric softener. It will help ensure the iron-on's and fabric paint adhere to the fabric and won't come off when you wash them!) Also, if using fabric paint, make sure to put a cardboard insert between the front and back layer of the onsie before starting to paint. This will prevent the paint from sticking the two layers together! You can also use a sheet of cardstock too! For something new why not try this adorable project from the ladies over at I Love to Create Blog. The leopard print pattern is perfect for that little fashionista to be! I just might add this little project at the next baby shower I host! Find all of the directions here.
