Nascar/Racecar Tablescape

For tablescape Tuesday today I wanted to feature something that screams SUMMER! I am dying for some warm summer sun and all I seem to be getting here in Utah is snow! Ugh! Either way, when I saw this table, created by the fabulous Sandra Lee, it reminded me of summer. And what a fun theme! It would be so easy to customize for a little boy's birthday party. I especially love the hubcap chargers, the napkin rings, and the tool box used as a cute side table! So cute!

Easter Cupcakes

I just adore these great cupcakes from Disney Family. They are super easy to put together using some simple candy from your local grocery store. These cupcakes are perfect for Easter but would also work well for a Winnie the Pooh themed party or a garden themed event too! Just another way to get your kids to eat their veggies! (Well....kind of...;) Find the instructions here.

Easter Crafts: Adult Easter Eggs

We all agree that one of the fun things to do for Easter is to get together and decorate eggs with the kids, but sometimes the regular old egg dye and glitter gets a little repetitive. Here are some fabulous ideas from Delish to decorate some Easter eggs....adult style. (Find all of the instructions for these little works on art on their site!)

Ocean Tablescape

For today's tablescape Tuesday I wanted to take a trip under the sea. How gorgeous is this creation by LBPS Events, found via Elizabeth Anne Designs?! It truly does feel as if you can see the moonlight shimmer on the top of the ocean's surface. I love the addition of the wood "chandelier", the floating candles, and the earthy florals. Truly amazing and pure magic in my book!

Easter Crafts: Egg Cups

I know that today is St. Patrick's Day but that just means we are that much closer to the next holiday...Easter! I couldn't resist posting an easy Easter Egg craft that I spotted over on the Paper Source blog (and hey, it's green so doesn't that count?!) These cute little egg holders would be great for an egg decorating party or even as place card holders too!

Easter Egg Cups

You will need:

How To PDF file
8 1/2" x 11" Text Paper
Medium Adhesive Pearls
7 Point Shape Hole Punch
Double Stick Tape
Bone Folder
Scissors

(If you need any of these items you can purchase them from Paper Source!)

Instructions:

1. Cut strips of moss and sage text paper to approximately 2″ x 11″. Use the grass template on the PDF file to cut out blades of grass or cut freehand.
2. Take one strip of moss grass and sage grass and loosely coil to allow room for an egg to fit snugly inside. Secure outer and inner strips of grass with double stick tape. Curl ends of grass outwards with a bone folder.
3. Decorate the base of the grassy egg cup holder with a curry flower, using the 7 point shape hole punch. Use double stick tape to adhere to egg cup. Embellish the center with a pearl.
