The Write Drink Tag

I recently bought these drink tags for a shower I planned and they were a hit with all of the guests. They are called The Write Drink Tags and you can find them on Etsy at LilBDesigns. Guests can decorate the tags, using chalk that is provided, or write their names, or basically any design that will help them keep tabs on which drink is theirs! And, best of all, they are reusable! You just rinse, dry and viola, a clean new drink tag! You can get a set of 12 for $7.00.

Paper and Poms

I am loving this DIY project from Crafty Nest. If you've never checked out the site before, you really are missing out! They have amazing tutorials for so many fabulous ideas! These flower and pom pom paper lanterns caught my eye because they would be so versatile for so many different events, and could be customized in any color. Find the tutorial for them here.

i, want these.....

Loving these chocolates that I found on etsy! I have a type of respect for anything electronic because my husband works with computers and has to own every single gadget under the planet!, so when I saw these I knew I would have to get them for an upcoming birthday of his! Such a great and creative idea! You can find them over at iChocolate's.

Lil' Squirt Baby Shower

I have been very busy these last few weeks with back to back events, but I am back with the next week or so off! The baby shower brunch that I put together took place on Saturday and turned out adorable! The mother-to-be loves elephants so I took that into consideration while planning this event. It turned out so cute and all the little details worked so well together! Take a look at the pics...you can find the invite that I sent out for this event here.

Diaper Cake

Mocktail Mimosa's and Hibiscus drinks made with Squirt soda (to go along with the theme), Orange Juice, & Cranberry Juice.

The Create-A-Crepe bar where guests could add ingredients, in a crepe, to make either a breakfast, lunch, or dessert crepe.

The Cake

I titled the various sauces for the crepes "Squirtables" to carry out the theme of the shower.

Sunny-side up Oreo Pops that are in the above picture, tied with yellow curling ribbon.

Onesie & bib decorating station

Finished Onesies & bibs. The guests did such a great job!

Floral centerpiece that I made

Advice cards for the guests to fill out, along with an envelope for guests to print their address on for the mother-to-be to mail their thank you cards! I love the paperclips and the elephant pens toppers I put together!

But my favorite of all would have to be the guest favors! Such cute little elephant cupcake toppers! Adorable!

Overall it was a fabulous shower. And the mother-to-be loved every minute of it! Can't wait to meet this little bundle of joy!

Cool Cocktail

So sorry for the lack of posts lately. I have been so busy the last two weeks planning two different events. But after today's event I have a week off! I should have pics of the baby shower that took place today, posted on Monday, but until then I will leave you all with a delicious cocktail that I featured at the Lingerie Bridal Shower. It was to die for! I'll be having more of those sooner rather than later! Enjoy!

Mango Madras:

Ingredients:

2 ounces Cranberry Juice
2 ounces Orange Juice
1 1/2 ounces Mango Rum
Ice Cubes
Orange Wedge
Maraschino Cherry

Directions:

In a glass, combine cranberry juice, orange juice, and rum. Add ice. Garnish with orange wedge and maraschino cherries. **(I mixed mine in a shaker, and then poured into the glass!)**

Lots of Lingerie

So I have been busy all weekend putting together the finishing touches on the Lingerie Bridal shower I have been planning for the last few weeks. As you will be able to see below, I took the lingerie theme and ran with it! The event took place on Saturday and it was a success! You can find the invitations that I mailed out here. The bride-to-be had a great time and all of the guests had fun too! I have posted a variety of pics below, but excuse my photography skills, they are by no means professional!

The Dessert Bar:

The Backdrop for the Dessert Bar: I created it using pictures of the soon to be married couple and also had to include little bras and panties on there as well!

The Cake: I had the corset on the cake made to match the invitation.

Favors: The favors were little Lingerie care kits that included a Lingerie wash bag and Lingerie detergent. I also included some little Lingerie care instructions.

This was a station I had set up for guests to fill out an advice card for the bride and also self address an envelope to make it easier for the bride to mail out thank you cards after the event.

I cut out fabric pieces of lingerie shapes that I glued onto the tablecloths at the event to jazz them up a bit.

The drink markers were really cute too. They were a chalkboard paint type of material that guests could write their names on or draw a picture. Too cute!

Now onto the next event.....less than 1 week and counting!

So Easy A Caveman.....

I saw this party floating around the blog world today and apparently it has been around for a few years, but since it's the first time I've seen it, and not to mention that I am in love with the theme and the amazing details that went into this event, I figured I would feature it! It was designed by Denise over at little ant design. The party was for a 40th birthday party celebration. Great idea and something new instead of the Over the Hill theme. Head on over to her blog to check out more pictures, step-by-step instructions for some of the props she made, and also to see all of her other great ideas. I love when little details don't get overlooked. Great job Denise!
